soooo sloooo painfully sloooow

If any one still checks this dog-ing blog I want to apologize for the absence.
I have a dial up connection, it's the only connection available in my situation, it's always been slow, but this is the worst, my little computer faces in the bottom right of the screen say I am creeping along at a steady 7200bps.
Life is too short to sit inside behind a computer for over an hour waiting for something to load only to have it fail.
Verizon has been less than helpful, usually it takes a real bad summer storm or hurricane to knock the phone connection out completely, then they have to come out and fix it.
So if any one cares check back once a month,
somthin's gotta give.
